From June 19 to 21, 2024, The Smarter E Europe 2024, Europe’s largest alliance expo in the energy sector, was grandly held in Munich, Germany. Focused on the decentralization and digitalization of renewable energy, The Smarter E Europe aims to integrate renewable energy solutions and create a sustainable green future for energy. Since its establishment, SC Solar has consistently driven photovoltaic manufacturing towards digital transformation through intelligent technological innovations. At this year’s expo, SC Solar showcased its latest offerings, including turnkey solutions such as automated production lines for photovoltaic modules, fully automated electromagnetic heating multi-layer laminators, and large-area perovskite solar cell manufacturing solutions.
In the first quarter of 2024, driven by stabilizing energy prices and high inflation, the growth rate of demand in the European photovoltaic market has shown a slowing trend, with the previous boom in residential photovoltaic installations fueled by the energy crisis gradually subsiding. Despite significant expectations from European governments regarding the future of photovoltaic power generation, the current capacity and pricing challenges faced by the EU’s photovoltaic manufacturing industry have become urgent issues needing resolution. Consequently, in the first half of 2024, the EU has frequently introduced related policies to support and promote the development of the upstream and downstream photovoltaic industries.
Faced with increasingly stringent and systematic restrictions on Chinese photovoltaic products by the EU, as well as the urgent need for domestic photovoltaic manufacturing in Europe to strengthen and upgrade its capacity, the primary challenge for Chinese, European, and global photovoltaic enterprises is how to advance the intelligent transformation of photovoltaic component production lines to optimize capacity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Over the years, SC Solar has continuously iterated and innovated photovoltaic intelligent manufacturing equipment through sustained research and development, establishing itself in the European market with stable and reliable products and a turnkey service network that meets diverse and personalized customer needs. In April of this year, SC Solar (Europe) Technical Service Center was officially launched in Milan, Italy, becoming a key node in SC Solar’s European service network. To date, SC Solar has provided overall solutions for automated production lines of photovoltaic modules and related intelligent equipment to more than ten European countries including Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Portugal, Croatia, and Slovenia, ranking first in the global market share in the subdivision field of photovoltaic automation production lines.
Seizing the important opportunity presented by The Smarter E Europe 2024, SC Solar continues to deepen its strategic layout in Europe, improve sales and service network construction, and leverage intelligent manufacturing technology to assist in the sustainable transformation and upgrading of the European photovoltaic industry. In the future, SC Solar will uphold its concept of “Making PV Manufacturing as Easy as Possible,” collaborate with European and global partners, and jointly forge a win-win path towards a zero-carbon green future.
