In line with this, SC Solar organized a series of fitness and ball sports events from October to November, providing employees with platforms to showcase their individual sporting talents and team strength.
On October 22, the 2023 Suzhou Taihu Marathon officially kicked off in Suzhou High-Tech Zone, with more than 23,000 participants from 19 countries and regions around the world. Over 50 employees and their family members from SC Solar formed a team and joined the corporate running group, showcasing the sportsmanship of SC Solar as they traversed the beautiful High-Tech Zone. During the race, SC Solar’s running team adhered to the spirit of the marathon— “challenge oneself, exceed limits, persevere, and never give up.” They energetically reached the finish line, earning praise and applause from the on-site spectators, becoming one of the successful finishing corporate teams.
On November 15, SC Solar’s 5th annual ball sports event, the Badminton Friendship Tournament, kicked off. The badminton tournament consisted of preliminary and final rounds, featuring men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed doubles with more than 50 athletes participating from various departments and subsidiaries. Badminton is not only a traditional event for SC Solar but also a sport actively promoted in daily routines. SC Solar integrates sports facility resources, providing well-equipped badminton courts inside and outside the company to encourage employees to engage in sports activities. During the Friendship Tournament, multiple matches took place simultaneously, showcasing the remarkable skills of participating athletes and earning enthusiastic applause from the spectators.
On November 24, the second major event of SC Solar’s 5th annual ball sports competition, the Basketball Friendship Tournament, officially began. Over the two-week schedule, 12 teams from various departments and subsidiaries of SC Solar participated in the competition for the championship. The Basketball Friendship Tournament is a traditional annual sports event for SC Solar. To enhance teamwork, cooperation, and the entertainment value of the matches, this year’s tournament deviated from the usual full-court format, adopting a more participatory and competitive 4v4 half-court format. In the intense competition, the new generation of SC Solar players stood out, joining forces with the core veteran players to present an exciting series of matches.
In the afternoon of November 30, the inaugural “SC Solar Strength Cup” Tug of War Friendship Tournament kicked off in the square of SC Solar’s R&D building. After rigorous pre-qualifications, a total of 144 heavyweight talents from various departments and subsidiaries participated in the competition. The Tug of War Friendship Tournament, themed around full employee participation, encouraged employees to unite and strive together during the competition. As the first all-employee event, members from various departments and subsidiaries of SC Solar gathered at the competition venue, waving banners and cheering for the participating teams. SC Solar hopes that the continuous tradition of the “Strength Cup” will convey the power of unity and cohesion to all employees, creating a dynamic working and growth environment.
